Senior Research Fellow
I am a Senior Research Fellow with the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF). I have Ph.D, M.A and B.A in Economics. I worked with the Universities Botswana and Swaziland as a lecturer in Economics before joining ESRF. Among the courses I taught in these universities include Monetary Economics, Public Sector Economics, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics, Statistics for economists, Quantitative Methods and Financial Economics. I also supervised quite a number of undergraduate and graduate research works in the two Universities. At the University of Swaziland, I served as the coordinator of research projects in the Department of Economics; and in Botswana University, I was a member of the editorial team of the Botswana Journal of Economics (BOJE).
I have attended different seminars and workshops, and have published a number of papers in peer review journals and the most recent published articles include Financial Liberalization and Bank Efficiency: The case of Commercial Banks in Kenya. I have participated in several consultancy assignments; the most recent ones include: visiting lecturer - Common Masters Programme – Joint facility for electives Nairobi 2008; and the Review of Education Sector Development Programme (ESDP) in Tanzania 2007.
Before joining academics, I worked with the National Bank of Commerce (NBC) in Tanzania for 11 years as a research, planning and development officer.
