Micro-level Perspectives of Growth in Tanzania (MLPG)

Micro-level Perspectives of Growth in Tanzania (MLPG) is a project which was launched in March 2007 and is supported by the Canadian International Development Research Center (IDRC) It is a collaborative programme between the University of Dar es Salaam - Economics Department and the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) .

The general objective of the research project is to contribute to the debate on appropriate priority actions for broad-based growth in Tanzania. It aims at examining micro-level factors that affect productivity and hence growth the roles of key agents as producers, suppliers, consumers and policy institutions and enriching the research-policy dialogue on growth and poverty issues in Tanzania, by fostering dialogue and communication between researchers and policy-makers.
